Knox - Blanche (Salyer) Bailey, 90, of Knox, Indiana passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at Golden Living Center. She was born on June 24, 1929 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Elliot and Edith (Allen) Salyer, both whom precede her death. She was also preceded in death by one Great Grand Daughter, 3 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.
Blanche lived in the area most of her life coming from Sunman, Indiana and had retired from the Howmet Corporation in LaPorte as an Inspector. She was baptized in a Baptist Church and worshipped the Baptist faith her entire life. Blanche loved bluegrass and country music especially the “jams” that she attended, cherished her garden (especially her roses), treasured her kittens, and truly adored her family.
She is survived by five children: Barbara Rudd-Cornelius of Plymouth, Gary Rudd of Ft. Wayne, Ginger Howard of Knox, Darlene (Gary) Dulin of Knox, and Clark Stacy of North Judson; 12 Grandchildren; many Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter; and 1 Brother Don Salyer of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 CST Friday, January 31 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 Friday also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
