Mrs. Barr is survived by her husband of 61 years, Steve Barr; two nephews, Jackie Sims (Pam) and Gary H. Peagler; a niece, Janet Pate; and many great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marcia B. Hoffman; and a brother-in-law, Bobby O. Hoffman.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Barr will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Wayne Dickson and Rev. Andy Byers. Burial will follow at New Cut Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to New Cut Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 2617 New Cut Church Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.

Lancaster SC - Miss Doris Jean Belk wore a princess gown of white brocade for her wedding to Steve Harrison Barr. A jeweled headpiece held her shoulder length veil and she carried a white orchid on a Bible.
Daughter of Mr and Mrs. Henry B. Belk, and she was given in marriage by her father at the 12:00 PM ceremony Sunday. The Rev. Julian T. Owen officiated in New Cut Presbyterian Church.
Miss Marcis Belk was maid of honor.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Colyer Harrison Barr. He had his brother in law, W.J. Sims, as best man. Ushers were C.B. Laney, Hershel Starnes, Reggie Dunlap and Jimmie Ghent.
Mrs Barr is a graduate of Lancaster High School and works at the Bank of Lancaster. Mr. Barr attended Buford High School and is employed by the State Highway Department. The couple is honeymooning in the mountains.
