Ruth Ann (Rogers) Leonard, 76, of Indianapolis passed away January 21, 2020. She was born at home in New Ross, Indiana on January 28, 1943. She was the daughter of Elmer and Claudia (Phelps) Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all four brothers (Richard, Lowell, John and Dean), as well as Jana's Father, Phil.

Upon graduation from Ladoga High School, Ruth moved to Indianapolis to go to Indiana Central and began working at Eli Lilly and Company. There, she met Phil Leonard. They were wed and had Jana.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Jana Leadingham (Josh), her sisters-in-law Arlena (Richard), Hazel (Lowell), and Paula (John). She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews that adore their Uncle Ruth (family joke)!

Ruth generously donated her body to the Anatomical Education Program at Indiana University School of Medicine. This gift will contribute significantly to the advancement of health science education in the state of Indiana.

Service 2pm Saturday, February 1 at Southport Heights Christian Church
Celebration of Life 1pm.
