Born March 14, 1941 at New Ross, he was the son of Elmer and Claudia Phelps Rogers. He graduated from Ladoga High School.
As a member of the One Way Pentecostal Church in Crawfordsville, he was called a "prayer warrior" and loved gospel music. He had worked at several factories in the area performing various jobs.
On April 19, 1983 he married Sally Rogers in Danville, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter Tammy Little; son James Rogers of Ohio; brothers Lowell Rogers of Advance, Richard Rogers of Virginia and sister Ruth Leonard of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by a son Tim Rogers and a brother John Rogers.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 10:00AM Wednesday at the One Way Pentecostal Church with Pastor Clarence Lee officiating. Burial will follow at New Ross Cemetery.
