Bobby Joe Powell, age 78 of Jacksboro departed this life Wednesday, January 29, 2020. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 322 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby Joe retired from Chrysler Motor Company.
He is preceded in death by 1st wife Nancy Lee (Ripley) Powell, 2nd wife Lena Powell, son: Darren Scott Powell, parents: Maynard and Bonnie (Isley) Powell, brothers: William Powell, Maynard Morris Powell, Jr., Robert Lee Powell, and Horace Odevah Powell, sister: Dorothy Mae McGhee, Mary Ann Woods, Cindy Loraine Draughn, and Linda Louise Powell.
He is survived by son: Michael Steven Powell & wife Rhonda of Ohio, sisters: Claudette Love of Jacksboro, Bonnie Cate Gross of Knoxville, grandchildren: Michael Scott Powell and Samantha Powell, great grandchildren: Christopher Powell and Wyatt Powell.
Visitation will be 6-7:45 PM Friday, January 31, 2020 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by Masonic Service at 7:45 PM. Friends and family will meet 11 AM Saturday, February 1st at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Indian Creek Cemetery for 12 PM interment.
