Mrs. West was a lifelong resident of North Alabama and was a member of Ardmore Christian Fellowship Church. She left behind a number of loving friends, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Talley and Jeannie Barnett.
She is survived by her husband, Dean West; three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Jeff Woodbury of Huntsville, Sonya and David Whitt of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Mechille and Doug Gentry of Plano, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Holly West of Morgan City; parents, Edgar and Louise Barnett of Huntsville; four sisters, Brenda Baugher of Athens, Betty Chamberlain of Madison, Mary Koker of Las Vegas, and Rhonda Rose of Huntsville; one brother, Gary Barnett of Huntsville; and nine grandchildren (5 by blood, 2 by marriage) and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Berryhill Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Huntsville Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Atwood and Rev. Charles Marable officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ardmore Christian Fellowship Church.
