Aris was the daughter of Zabon Francis Davis and Esther Allison (Bullock) Davis. She married Seth B. Applewhite on Sept. 18, 1824 in Marion Co., MS. She and Seth had six children together. They were Davis b. 1825 MS, Eldridge b. 1827, Calvin b. 1832, Melinda b. 1834, Emily b. 1843, and Seth Woodard b. 1846.

Davis was a private in the Civil War. He enlisted in Company H, MS 12th infantry. Eldridge married Rebecca Brown Jan. 4, 1852 in Carroll Co., MS. He enlisted on Jan. 22, 1864 with the rank of 1st Lieut. He passed away Mar. 30, 1909.

Aris had 10 proven siblings. They are on FAG. There are a couple of others that no information has been found on.
