FARM WORKER, NATIVE OF SHETLAND

Elizabeth was born about 1810; was christened at Moullay (Mulla?), Delting in 1810 [Old Parish Register, Delting, Co. Shetland (2/1)].

Elizabeth, pauper, died of dropsy from which she suffered for 10 years at Gardie, Weisdale, single, on 11 February 1859, aged 48 years; was buried there at the Church Yard of Sound [1859 Deaths Whiteness and Weisdale, Co. Shetland (10/6)]. Her parents were William WILLIAMSON (farmer) and Catherine THOMPSON. The informant was her father, William, who was present at her death.

Elisabeth lived with her brother Arthur in 1841 at Catfirth, Parish of Nesting, and lived and worked with her parents at Gardie as a farm laborer in 1851 [Scotland Censuses of Shetland].
