Paula Jean Miller was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1951, to the late Walter and Shirley Miller.

Paula attended school in the Collingdale School System, which is now Southeast Delco School District. After high school, she attended West Chester University and received a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education and later a Master's Degree in Education. While attending WCU, she was inducted into the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., on July 2, 1972.

After graduating from college, Paula was hired by the West Chester Area School District, where she taught grades 2nd to 5th for 38 years, at Glen Acres Elementary School. Paula was one of the most revered teachers at GA. She was respected and loved by her students, staff and parents.

Paula was a member of St. Agnes Church in West Chester, where she faithfully attended mass and supported her church in many ways through her generous donations, supplying school supplies to needy children, donating coats and other clothing to families, and supporting other fundraisers at St. Agnes.

Paula was also very active in her community. She frequently volunteered for events in the community and was a long time volunteer at West Chester Historical Society. She generously gave to various charities such as Bridge of Hope, Good Samaritan Services and Purple Heart. Paula's greatest interest and passion was in photography. She belonged to a local camera club and got a lot of pleasure out of taking pictures around West Chester and surrounding areas. She particularly enjoyed taking pictures at weddings and taking pictures of family and friends. After retiring from WCASD, Paula started her own photography business.

Paula had a variety of other interests. She loved to travel, which gave her good reason to take many pictures. Her travels took her to Europe, Alaska, Panama, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands and many other states in the US. One of her favorite trips included going to England for the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament in 2018. Besides traveling, Paula enjoyed reading, going to the movies, going to the theatre, the casino and the beach. She enjoyed watching old westerns, MSNBC, football, tennis and other sports on TV; and recently, she loved participating in Silver Sneakers at the YMCA and playing pickleball.

Paula's good character and heart are evident by the number of friends and acquaintances who loved and supported her. She was genuine in her approach to others, very friendly, kind, caring, generous almost to a fault, always willing to help others and maintained a positive approach and attitude about life. The expression, "You have to be a good friend in order to have a good friend," sums up how others viewed her. She was a great friend and will be missed by so many.

Paula leaves to cherish her precious memories, her brother, Lewis, her sister-in-law, Diana, three nieces, Tracy Gallagher (John), Kim and Karen Miller, a most beloved great -nephew, Joseph, and a host of other friends and relatives.
