Lorena was the eldest daughter of William Monroe and Mary Elnora "Hardy" Harrison. She married Mr. Ruth Rodgers, son of Charlie and Lucinda J. "Simmons" Rodgers. They were the parents of three children: Jimmie Avis [Blaylock][Candia], Opal [Salter] and Travis.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Lorena Harrison Rodgers on August 3, 1990, 2:00 p.m. from Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Patterson officiating. Burial was at Long Branch Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora in charge.
A retired housewife, Mrs. Lorena Harrison Rogers, 92, died July 30, 1990 at MS State Hospital in Whitfield, MS. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Candia of Galveston, TX and Mrs. Opel Satters of Memphis, TN; one sister, Mrs. Beulah Morgan, of Pope, MS; twelve grandchildren and host of great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Carwyle, Jesse Williams, Doug Curtis, Lawrence Johnson and Curry Strickland.
