Nora was the daughter of John Lemuel and Missouri Adaline "Bingham" Hardy. She married William Monroe Harrison, son of John and Amanda "Fortner" Harrison, on 15 Feb 1898. They were the parents of eight children, including two who died in infancy.

FINAL RITES FOR MRS. HARRISON AT NEW LONG BRANCH
Mrs. Mary Elnora Harrison, widow of William Monroe Harrison, died Tuesday night, October 31 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Rodgers, at Parchman, MS. She had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Harrison was born and reared in Webster County, in the Gum Springs community. She and Mr. Harrison were married February 15, 1898, and spent most of their married life in the Gum Springs community. They were the parents to eight children, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. Harrison preceded her in death in 1949. On November 18, Mrs. Harrison would have observed her 91st birthday. She was a member of the El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors other than Mrs. Jim Rodgers are three other daughters, Mrs. L.B. Carwyle of Eupora, MS; Lorena Rodgers of Jackson; and Mrs. Beulah Morgan of Memphis, TN; two sons, Alton Harrison of Eupora; and Limmie Harrison of Greenwood; one brother, Nathan Hardy of West Point; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 8 great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 2 at 2 o'clock from New Long Branch Methodist Church with Rev. J.B. Middleton officiating. Special music was rendered by a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Bilbo Wright, Mr. J.G. Hendrix, Mr. J.P. Wright, with Mrs. J.B. Rowe as accompanist. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were nephews: Curtis Hardy, Elliot Hardy, John D. Strickland, Curry Strickland, J.W. Strickland and Lloyd Harrison.
