She was born on January 16, 1941 in Woodway, Virginia to Leslie and Bonnie (Stewart) Johnston and has lived in the Alexandria area since 1998. Brenda was a graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood-Class of 1958. She retired from AT & T in Fresno, California after 28 years of employment. She was a member of the former Alexandria First United Methodist Church. Brenda enjoyed reading, animals and “caregiving.”

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-Tisa Merbon Sigler and sister-Saundra Poe.
It was Brenda’s request that there be no public viewing or services. Cremation will take place.
