Died Friday at Ben Hur Home.

Son of Raymond and Ical Allen Shelton.
Married Ruby Eileen Newkirk November 24, 1945. She survives.
Also surviving are son Tom (Phyllis) Shelton; grandsons Jason (Denise) and Ryan (Jennifer); granddaughter Justine Warford; great-grandchildren Holly and Molly Van Ostran, Maddie Shelton, Alex Warford and Nicholas Warford; sister Mary Perry; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Russell Warford, stillborn son Danny, brothers Harold, Leslie and Carl Shelton and sister Mildred Pointer.

Graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

Retired from Crawfordsville School Corporation, and had worked at R. R. Donnelley for 30 years.

Attended Christ United Methodist Church.

He was a 50 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Golden Age Eagles Club.

He loved Purdue and Wabash football, watching his son coach Attica High School sports and attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's events. He loved to talk and tell jokes, dancing and being with friends and family.

Cremation was chosen.
Funeral services with F.O.E. rites 1pm Tuesday, January 21 at Burkhart Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Caldwell officiating assisted by Pastor Ivan Brewer.
Visitation 11am until time of service.
A dinner will follow at the Crawfordsville Eagles.
Burial at 1pm Thursday.
