Early in their marriage, Eleazer and Beersheba relocated first to Bergen in Genesee County, New York, then moved on to Huron County, Ohio where their household was recorded in the 1820 census at Fitchville. They did not travel west alone. Eleazer's sister Isabella and her husband Mordecai Jenney (Beersheba's brother) settled nearby, as did Robert Salisbury, brother of Eleazer. By 1824, nearly all the Jenney family had relocated to Huron County.
Between 1819 and 1828, Eleazer and Beersheba were blessed with five children -- Almira, who married Edward Gifford; Sarah or Sally; Franklin, who married Matilda Griffin; Benjamin; and Warren. Not long after the birth of Warren in May 1828, Beersheba died, leaving Eleazer a widower with five children between the ages of infant and 9 years of age.
In March 1829, Eleazer sold the last of his Huron County property and relocated to New York, where he remarried, say 1830 or 1831 to Urania. They apparently took up residence in Bergen, Genesee County, New York where Eleazer had family . It was there that Eleazer died at the age of 36 on or about 12 July 1834 of "a fever following a four month illness." Eleazer's second wife, Urania, died two to three years after her husband.
The five children of Eleazer and Beersheba were assigned guardians in 1834. Two lived in Huron County, Ohio with the Jenneys; while three remained in New York for a time.
