US Soldier killed at the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Pvt Snow enlisted into the U.S. Army on September 25, 1875, in Boston, MA for five years. He was described as 22 yrs old, 5'5", hazel eyes, black hair, ruddy complexion. His civilian occupation was hostler. On October 25, 1875, Snow reported for duty at Ft Totten, Dakota Territory. He was assigned to Company L, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment. At the Battle of the Little Bighorn, Company L was assigned to LTC George Custer's battalion. During the battle Snow was killed. There were no reports that Snow's remains were identified. Therefore, it is likely his remains were first buried where they had been found. In 1881 all known battlefield burials were moved to a mass grave on Last Stand Hill.
