James H. Bryson (of Stroud, Ok) went to be with The Lord on January 14, 2020.

He was born on March 8, 1932 in Wayne Ok to Jessie and James Bryson. He was raised in Madill, OK by Jessie and Joseph Pakulski.

James and the love of his life Phyllis married on November 14, 1958 in Tecumseh, OK. They made their home in Stroud, OK in 1967.

James proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after serving multiple years.

James was a graduate of OSU. He retired from Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed farm life and working with his boys on equipment.

He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis, of the home. Two sons, Jimmy Bryson and wife Merry of Stillwater Ok. Gary Bryson and wife Elizabeth of Stroud Ok. Grandchildren Kyndel Gooch and wife Daryl Lee, Katelyn Bryson, Rebekah Bryson and Joseph James Bryson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the First Assembly of God in Stroud, OK with Pastor Jeromye Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK.
