PETER JOSEPH RIEDEN
Peter Joseph Rieden, 101, formerly of 115 E. Bank St., Fond du Lac, died on Sunday Aug. 28, 2006, at St. Francis Home, where he was a resident.
He was born on April 16, 1905, in Mount Calvary, the sixth son of Huber and Katherine Seuer Rieden.
On June 28, 1932, he married Catherine Hentges at Eden Valley, Minn.
Mr. Rieden was employed most of his life as a bookkeeper. He was employed at W. J. Nuss Lumber Co., Fond du Lac Lumber Co. and Ready Mixed Concrete Inc. He retired in 1970.
Peter was a member of Holy Family Parish, a former member of St. Patrick’s Holy Name Society and a former member of the Fond du Lac Police Auxiliary.
Survivors include two children, Sister Janet M. Rieden, OSF, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and a son, Gordon Rieden of Crivitz; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife, Catherine, on Jan 2, 1984; one sister; and six brothers.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St., Fond du Lac. The Rev. Joseph Wolf, OFM Cap., will officiate. Entombment will be at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
VISITATION: Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zacherl Funeral Home, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Home Chapel.
