A homemaker and a resident of Prairieville, she died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at her home. She was 72 and a native of Lincoln County, Miss. Graveside service at Greenoaks Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, conducted by the Rev. Doug Burleson. She is survived by three daughters, Darlene Richard, Janine Chartin and Gwen Sanders; a son, Randall Guitreau; seven grandchildren, Coty, Chad, Misty, Melissa, Kristy, Laura and Clay; 13 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Elyana, Abigail, Chelsea, Blake, Dakota, Kaytlen, P.J., Kelsey, Brennden, Lilly, L.J. and Chandler; and a brother, Jerry Laird. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Laird; father, Maxie Laird; son, Paul Guitreau; and brother, Junior Laird. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Moser and Clay Richard. She was an active member of Goodwood Church of Christ. Renaissance Services, 12552 Airline Highway, Gonzales, is in charge of arrangements.
