PARENT, Felicien Paul - - Died 6:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 84, a native of Duplessis and resident of St. Amant. He was a retired painter with Esso Company. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Father Tom Ranzino. Entombment in Holy Rosary Mausoleum, St. Amant. Survived by wife of 63 years, Elva Hebert Parent, St. Amant; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Mary Grace Blank, Gramercy, Vernell and J.R. Tullier, St. Amant, Earline and Jerome Babin, Gonzales, Shirley and Gene McManus, Port Vincent, Ruth and Leander Humphrey, Sorrento, Audrey and Arthur LaPorte Jr., New Orleans; three sons and daughters-in-law, Glynn and Caroline Parent, St. Amant, Lavern J. and Amelia Parent, New Orleans, Burris and Glenda Parent, Geismar; two sisters, Adeline Landry, New Orleans, and Mildred Ross, Santa Rosa, Calif.; a brother, Wilson Parent, Duplessis; 36 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Felicie Bourque Parent; six brothers, Ulric, Bazile, Johnny, Leus, Leonce and Burris Parent; sister, Aglia Lessard; two grandsons, Joey and Bart Parent. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of St. Amant.
