Elmer Dacus was born August 27, 1927, in a farm house north of Lindsay to Cecil H and Minnie Mae Dodds Dacus. He passed from this earth and went to meet his Heavenly Father on January 14, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
He attended school at Colbert and Bradley. He joined the Army in 1945 and served until August of 1946.
He married Inetha Smith on September 2, 1950, by Rev. Glenwood Buzbee. They enjoyed 69 wonderful years together.

He had many hobbies including carpentry, mechanics and enjoyed watching all types of sports. He always followed Lindsay sports and if he wasn’t able to attend, he listened on the radio.
