Born July 11, 1931, husband of Sandra Parrish; son of the late Eddie Vernon Parrish and Irene Stone Parrish.
A US Army Veteran, served in the Korean War, owner of Interstate Wrecker Service and Interstate Truck & Auto Service, and was involved with R&S Helping Hands with his wife.
Also survived by three sons, Mark Parrish (Cheryl), Patrick Parrish, and Chris Parrish (Kelli); three daughters, Pam Godwin (Mike), Linda Stewart (Gary), and Ivy Turner (Cy); several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Joseph Paul Parrish, Jr.; two brothers,Lewis Vernon Parrish (1921–1999) and John Bruce Parrish (1924–2018); and two sisters, Edna Parrish Lindsey (1914–2009) and Lottie Gray Parrish Flowers (1916–1998).
The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Bobo Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenneth Cash.
Entombment followed at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
