COLUMBIA - Sarah Anne Norman, 72, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.

Sarah was born October 11, 1946 in Columbia to the late Claude Ellis and Sarah Boice Norman.

She was a graduate of Conway High School and attended Columbia Business College. She was later employed by Allen, Gant and Best Law Firm, where she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement.

Sarah will be remembered for her passion for saving and caring for stray cats, especially black cats. She was a member of East Columbia Holy Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Norman Douglass (Mark Sutphin), Andrea Kirk Douglass Corder (Eric); four grandchildren, Heather Kaye Sink, Theodore Chase Corder, Erica Anna-Belle Corder, Kasey Andrew Corder; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Grace Gilbert; and symbolic daughter, Mary Elizabeth Acre Lister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epworth Children’s Home, 2900 Millwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29205; or to an animal rescue of one's choice.
