Walter Patterson, 91, a native of the Ulman area, died Saturday, March 16, 1895, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. He was born April 5, 1893, to Grant and Emma Patterson. He was married to Edna Barton of the Hickory Point community. She died on July 19, 1969.
Mr. Patterson had resided at the Miller County Nursing Home for the past several months. Surviving him is a sister, Mrs. Fred Cardwell of Mt. Pleasant and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Patterson had served as a deacon in the Baptist Church for 51 years. He and his wife operated grocery stores in Frank Switch and Crocker for a number of years. He later became a civil service worker at Fort Leonard Wood.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Crocker. Burial was in the Hickory Point Cemetery.
