John Henry Jarrett, 94, Iberia, died Sunday (December 17, 1989) at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach. He was born May 26, 1895, in Iberia, a son of Andrew and Missouri Ahart Jarrett. He was married Nov. 14, 1923, to Edith Adams, who died Jan. 6, 1966.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. He was a member of the American Legion, Iberia, and a charter member of Iberia First Assembly of God.
Survivors include: two sons, Johannis Jarrett, Kansas City, Tennyson Jarrett, San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. John M. Jarrett will officiate. Burial will be in the Hickory Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
