Raúl Esparza, age 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Santa Fé, NM on Monday, June 12, 2017.
Raúl was born in Juárez, Mexico on September 22, 1936 to his mother, Hortencia Esparza and father, José Cruz Esparza.
Raúl married Isela Esparza on February 8, 1959.
Raúl was preceded in death by his wife, Isela, parents, son, Sergio Esparza, granddaughter, Natalie Barela and grandson, Jonathan Esparza.
Raúl is survived by his son, Jesús (Evelyn) Esparza, daughter, Dana Esparza, grandchildren, Jason (Desiree) Leticia, Daniel and Breanna Esparza, great-grandchildren, Audrey, Bailey and Gabriel Esparza and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kiva Chapel of Light in the Rivera Family Funeral Home, Santa Fé, NM. A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Santa María de la Paz Catholic Church, Santa Fé, NM at 10:00 a.m. with a Burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
