WALTZ - In Dorchester, March 24, Addie M. Thurston, widow of Granville O. Waltz. Interment at the home 10 Harvard St. Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Boston Herald: March 26, 1924.

The funeral of Mrs. Addie M. Thurston Waltz, widow of the late Granville O. Waltz was held from the home of her daughter Stella M. Waltz, 19 Harvard Street, Dorchester, on Wednesday afternoon. The remains were taken to Waldoboro, Me. for interment in the family lot. Mrs. Waltz was the mother of Guy Irving Waltz who has the sympathy of many friends in the bereavement.

WIWURNA Chapter O.E.S., conducted impressive services at the German Cemetery Thursday morning for Mrs. Addie M. Waltz, who passed away at 19 Harvard Avenue, Dorchester, Mass. March 24. Services were also conducted at the Dorchester Temple Baptist Church by Rev. Otis W. Foye, D. D. The remains were accompanied by Guy I. Waltz, True S. Waltz, Miss Isabel Waltz and Miss Dorothea Waltz.

The death of Addie M. Waltz, widow of Granville O. Waltz, occurred suddenly on the afternoon of March 24, at the home of her daughter, Stella M. Waltz, in Dorchester, Mass. where she had been spending the winter. Mrs. Waltz had been in impaired health for several years but no apparent change was noted until the first of March. The end came suddenly but peacefully. Services were held at the home of her daughter on Wednesday, March 26, with the Rev. Otis W. Foye D.D. of the Dorchester Baptist Church officiating. Following the services the body was accompanied to Waldoboro, by four of her children, and interred in the Old German Cemetery. Preceding the interment an impressive service was conducted by Wiwurna Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, of which the deceased had been an active member. Mrs. Waltz was born in Boscawen, N.H., on May 1, 1854 but had been a resident of Waldoboro for over fifty years. She was a member of long standing of the Baptist Church. She is survived by eight children, Granville Ernest of Providence, R.I., Clarence Brown of Everett, Mass., Guy I. and Edward True of Amesbury, Mass., Roland T. of Portland, Stella M. of Dorchester, Mass., Isabel of Roxbury, Mass., and Dorothea of Marblehead, Mass.
