Private First Class Andre Craig Jr., 24, died of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device June 25 in Baghdad, Iraq. Craig was an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. His home of record is New Haven, Conn. He entered the Army in October 2005 and began serving with the 1st Infantry Division in March 2006. This was his first deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He was predeceased by grandmother; great grandmother Ida Reynolds, Nettie Foster, grandfather George Cook and Almer Godwin.
