Robert was a graduate of Santa Fe High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1975 to 1981 as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. He was awarded Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Basic Missileman Badge. After his Air Force service, Robert worked in the computer industry and was known for his sharp mind, tenacity, and problem-solving ability.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents, Ralph Aden and Jeanette Mae (Huff) Bassett, of Albuquerque, NM, as well as his sister, Jean Evins of Fort Worth, Texas.
He is survived by: his brother, Ralph Albert Bassett and sister-in-law, Maryann, of Albuquerque, NM, family in Colorado, and many cousins in New Mexico, and Indiana.
