She is preceded in death (2004) by her husband, James, her parents John and Adeline; sisters Helen, Hattie and Jennie also preceded her . James and Terry met when she was a bank teller and James inquired about her. She joined him where he was playing music and singing at Doc and Betty's Bar in Phoenix AZ and the rest is history. James was certainly there to greet his "Miss Theresa" along with the above relatives. James and Terry were married over 50 years. Together they raised four children, Cheryl (Sherry) Grogan, spouse Larry Grogan; Barbara Bryant , spouse Jon; Susan Hatch, and John Tucker, spouse Kathy. They have 9 Grandchildren, Jennifer Vincent, spouse David; Josh Schroeder, partner Crystal Beattie, Step grandchildren Ashley Grogan, partner Shawn Riggs and Michele Grogan, Lauren Clausen and Jordan Hatch; Kristi Jiminez, spouse Phillip, Jaime Bryant and Shawna Squires….additionally there are 14 great grandchildren, Emily Vincent, Matthew Vincent, Sage Beattie, Emma Clausen, Logan Rita, James DeWitt, Emma Rita, Andrew Jiminez, Lorenzo Jiminez and Scott Jiminez, Bo Squires, Anthony Squires, Brittani Squires and Michael Squires. Great Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cheyene and Chevy Rita, Santiago and Santana Squires.
In addition to her employment as a bank teller, she also was a switchboard operator, special education teacher aide and worked retail. She loved working in her garden, enjoyed sewing and crafting and as a young woman like to ride horses. She enjoyed country western music and old shows to include Hallmark and Lifetime movies. The moved to Arizona from Michigan as a young adult and she was glad she left the snow behind. She looked forward to going out for Mexican food, always a special enchilada order off the menu...
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
