July 3, 1851 Salem, Rusk County, Texas; he had lived in and near Temple since 1915; married to Miss Elizabeth Finley, April 21, 1884; she d. November 26, 1895; survivors: 1 son, George F. Bishop and two grandchildren; burial in Hillcrest with Hewett in charge.
