She was born Tuesday, January 3, 1950 at Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Richard Burton Slayton and Norma Jean Hymes Slayton. She was twice married. First to Stanley Hale Wiseman, Sr. who preceded her in death and second to Willard Roscoe Starkey of Clarksburg, WV.
Surviving are two sons, Stanley Hale Wiseman, Jr. and companion Heather Hileman of Coalton and Richard Ray Wiseman and companion Jennifer Stanton of Coalton; one daughter, Tammy Jean Wiseman of Junior; four brothers, Richard Cam Slayton, Timothy Golf Slayton, both of Coalton, Joseph Paul Slayton and Johnny Grant Slayton and wife Jean of Akron, OH; one sister, Dolly Marguerite Slayton Crawford and husband Leonard of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Devin William McCauley, Emily Lynn McCauley, Edward Matthew Wiseman, Damien Hale Wiseman and Haley Lynn Wiseman; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Coalton High School. She had worked for the Beta Shoe Factory. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and embroidery.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 PM, Thursday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11 AM. Pastor Bryan Headley will officiate and interment will follow at the Trinity Cemetery at Junior, WV.
