George Peter Jennings, 87, of Waddell, AZ, passed away in his home early Christmas morning, December 25th, 2019. He was born on December 17, 1932, to George H. and Helen Jennings in Bronx, New York City, New York. George attended Mount Saint Michael Academy where he nationally medaled in track and field at Madison Square Garden. He and his family moved to Dallas, Texas where he then entered Jesuit Academy and graduated in 1951.

George attended Arlington State College and The University of Texas majoring in business. While in school, he met his future wife, Justine Gallerano, who was attending Ursuline Academy.

They married on July 2nd, 1955 and moved to Westport, Connecticut. George and Justine were blessed with five children- Chris, Helen, Maryanne, Carol and Cynthia. George supported his family through his career for Pulmoson Safety Corporation in New York as the Eastern Sales Manager. George later went into partnership with Deluca Safety Corporation.

In 1976, George came to own his own company, Ramsey Welding Supply, that moved him and his family to Litchfield Park, Arizona. George operated Ramsey successfully for 18+ years and grew the business tremendously. In 1994, George’s son, Chris, took over the business and George was able to happily retire. Under Chris’s leadership, the company expanded its product offering and was later sold to Allied Gasses in 2017.

Following their love for the cowboy lifestyle, George and Justine moved again, this time to Polson, Montana where they kept horses and operated a small cherry orchard. The orchard became a special place in the hearts of the Jennings family. George’s grandchildren spent their summers helping grandpa pick and sort cherries in the orchard before cooling off in the picturesque Flathead Lake. Two of George’s daughters, Helen and Cynthia, fell in love with Polson as well and decided to make the town their permanent home.

George was known as an incredibly ambitious, hard-working, straight-shooter to his colleagues, customers, friends, and family. He led a full and adventurous life where he followed his passions to own horses, compete as a triathlete, build and fly his own plane, and train Labrador retrievers to compete in field trials. He was a lifelong, devoted Catholic, a member of The Knights of Columbus at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson, Mt., and a loving family man.

George is survived by his wife, Justine, five children, Chris (Terry), Helen (Gayle), Maryanne (Sam), Carol (Jeff), and Cynthia (Steve), sixteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
