Clara W. Dewberry, of Bremen, passed away in the Christian faith on December 27, 2019, after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on August 13, 1940, in Haralson County, Georgia, to the late Walker V. Windom and Lena Clay Windom.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Windom, a sister and brother-in-law, Sara Windom Bates and Winford Bates, a brother-in-law, James Kelley, and a brother-in-law, Cranston Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jack W. Dewberry, of Bremen, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Heather Dewberry, of Bremen, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Betsy Dewberry, of Tallapoosa, grandchildren Erin Dewberry, Ashlyn Dewberry, and Benjamin Dewberry of Bremen, and Luke Dewberry, Laci Dewberry, and Lyndi Dewberry, of Tallapoosa, sister Irene Kelley, of Tallapoosa, sister Marcelene Johnson, of Tallapoosa, and brother Johnny Windom, of Tallapoosa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM..
Services will be Sunday, December 29 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Corky Addison and Reverend Calvin Browm officiating. Music will be furnished by Corky and Wanda Addison and Calvin and Rita Brown. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Galy Staton, Carroll Gilbert, Gary Ray, Douglas Kilgore, Ronnie Ray and Mark Windom. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
