Died as a direct result of the Gotha Raid on Folkestone in 25th May 1917. Frederick was a grocer's assistant at Longleys in Tontine Street and on hearing the planes overhead he went out into the street and consequently suffered a fatal heart attack and died almost immediately.

She married Frederick in the December Q 1895 in Thanet RD. In 1911 they were living at 3 Linden Crescent, Folkestone with three children, Nellie Day 14, Winnie Day 12 and Gertrude Day 10. They had been married for 15 years and had 3 children.
