Dorothy "Dottie" Hawkey, 91, of Gladstone, Mo, Passed away on December 24, 2019.
Dorothy was born on November 14, 1928 in Kingston, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Auti (Breuer) Bethel. She was Married to Forest Hawkey in Kansas City, Missouri. Throughout the years they lived in Warren, MI, London, England, Northville, MI, Des Moines, IA and Gladstone, Mo. She was a very generous person who loved her family and friends and was never happier than when she was giving gifts. She was a dog lover who welcomed each and every granddog who came into the family.
Survivors include son, Dale Hawkey and his wife, Linda of Gladstone, Mo; one sister, Belle Cleaveland of Boone, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Hawkey; and one daughter; four brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm with funeral service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, Mo 64119.
