Laura Brackett, 79, died here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Ryker, this morning. She had been in failing health for the past 18 months.
Born May 16, 1856, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of John and Harriett Chenoweth, and was married to John W. Brackett Sept. 22, 1878. She had lived in this vicinity for the past 40 years.
Surviving, besides the daughter, are two half brothers, Jesse Dragoo of Frankfort and Walter Dragoo, of Lexington, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Will Heller, of Orlando, Fla., Mrs Alfred McQuinn, of Clayton, and Mrs. Charles Legan, of Franklin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Kirkpatrick M. E. church of which she was a member. Burial will be in the Linden cemetery.
