Mrs. Loretta Merrick
Glasgow--Mrs. Loretta Merrick, 89, former Nashua resident who had lived in northeastern Montana more than 45 years, died in a Glasgow hospital. She was the widow of Kirk Merrick, who died in 1949. Mrs. Merrick had been in poor health for many years and had been a patient in the hospital here since Sept. 2, 1952.
She was born in Parksville, Mich., Sept. 10, 1865. She was married in Iowa in 1900. They first came to Montana in 1910 to homestead southeast of Culbertson, then moved to the Nashua area in 1919.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter, Lee Merrick of Nashua, Gerald of Port Orchard, Wash., and Mrs. Lula Walter of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
