Leonard Victor "Vic" Griffiths, II of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Leonard Victor Griffiths, Sr. and Louise Pearse Griffiths, was born on Saturday, December 12, 1931 in Methuen, Massachusetts, and departed this life on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. Mr. Griffiths graduated from Winchester High School in Winchester, MA and Boston University's School of Business in 1954. He was a member of the Armed Forces having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a businessman and in 1967 opened the Woodson Lewis Furniture Store in Campbellsville, Kentucky. In Greensburg, he founded the completely free of charge, Green County Little League Football Program in 1965 and ran it until 1979. He served as President of the Greensburg Rotary Club and the Greensburg Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member of the Green County Country Club, and served as a commander of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Ann Carlile Lewis Griffiths on September 23, 2003 having united in marriage on July 3, 1955. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth Brummal and Jim Murphy of Louisville, Ann Carlile "Bae" and John Fuqua of Lexington; two sons and three daughters-in-law: Thomas Walter "Tom" and Allison Griffiths, William Michael "Mike" and Heather Griffiths both of Greensburg and Alycia Griffiths of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren and their spouses: Abbey Griffiths, Hallie Griffiths both of Greensburg, Sarah and Kyle Penick of Guthrie, Kate and Jarrell Jackson of OK, Rachel and Cody Houchens, Masden Griffiths, Kelson Griffiths, Kennedy Griffiths all of Greensburg; Bailey and Kent Erwin of Tennessee, Caroline and Josh Morton, Robby Fuqua, Ben and Ashley Murphy all of Lexington, and Mike and Kristen Murphy of Texas; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Ruthie Derrick of Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Griffiths was also preceded in death by a son: Leonard Victor "Lenny" Griffiths, III on October 22, 2019; a granddaughter: Emma Allison Griffiths; a brother and two sisters: Robert Griffiths, Nancy Wilde, and Betty Haley The funeral services for Mr. Leonard Victor "Vic" Griffiths, II will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Central Time, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard. Visitation is requested after 9 AM, Central Time Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Green County Senior Citizen Center, which can be made at the funeral home.
