Funeral services for Mr. John E. Turnbough, Sr., 78, of Bowling Green, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. Dr. Mike Gillen officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Bowling Green, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 12th at the funeral home. Mr. Turnbough passed away at his home on November 10, 2010. He was born January 15, 1932 in Pike County, Missouri to Thomas Crewson Turnbough and Lena Lawson Turnbough. He was married to Joann Smith on December 15, 1953 in Vandalia, Missouri and she preceded him in death on February 27, 2000. He is survived by 1 son, John E. Turnbough, Jr. and wife Alarice of Paris, Missouri, a daughter in-law, Monica Turnbough Crenshaw of Curryville, Missouri, his grandchildren, Kristina and Jason Farrah of Paris, Missouri, John, III and Robin Turnbough of St. Louis, Missouri, Cindy and Darren Moore of Curryville, Missouri, Vanessa and Bobby Kanrowski of Hannibal, Missouri, Laura Turnbough of Bowling Green, Missouri, Amanda Turnbough of Hannibal, Missouri, CJ Turnbough of Browns Mills, New Jersey, 22 Great Grandchildren, 3 brothers, Raymond Turnbough of Farmington, Missouri, Dale Turnbough of the state of Mississippi, and Terry Turnbough of Bowling Green, Missouri, 2 sisters, Annabelle Barnett of Milton, Illinois and Leslie "Sis" Maylee of Mexico, Missouri. He was preceded in death by 1 son, David Wayne Turnbough on October 6, 2000, 3 brothers, Tom Turnbough, Harry Turnbough, and Orville Guy Turnbough, and 2 sisters, Billie Jean McCurdy and Bertha Mae Duggins. Mr. Turnbough had lived in Pike County, Missouri almost all of his life. He was loved by many, and will be missed by many.
