Jimmy Barnett, 76, of Talladega, Alabama passed away on Saturday, 21 December 2019.
Jimmy was born Winterboro, Alabama in 1943, to Harry and Cora Barnett; however, he spent the bulk of his life in Talladega. He was the only son and one of five children.
Jimmy owned and operated the Talladega Box and Lumber Co. He retired from Miller Lumber Co. in Sylacauga, Alabama. He was also a cattle farmer.
Jimmy loved his children and grandchildren, who cherish his memory. His CHILDREN (4): Brody (Heather) Barnett, Cory (Rachel) Barnett, Greer Barnett, and Jessica Lee Barnett; GRANDCHILDREN (6): Avery Barnett, Harper Barnett, Jesse Barnett, Marley Barnett, Roman Barnett, and Sloane Barnett. Jimmy also treasured his SISTERS: Agnes Barnett (deceased), Louise Sewell, of Talladega, Robbie Sue (Grayson) Palmer, of Shelby County, Alabama, and Rosa Alice Houston (deceased).

Friends may call on Jimmy's family from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Saturday, 27 December 2019, at the Usrey Funeral Home, 516 North Street, Talladega; then attend his Graveside service which will begin at 1:30 P.M. in the Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 35036 US Highway 21 North, Talladega where Wes Johnson, Mike Carden and George Sims will perform the officiant duties.
