Richard was working for Great Western Sugar as a Sugar Boiler in 1982. He loved hunting and had just returned from hunting on a cold, cloudy day. He was so happy to have been able to go out and enjoy the day before coming in to the hot factory for the swing shift. He had a heart attack and his friends and co-workers worked unceasingly trying to revive him until the paramedics arrived. Kudos to the teams who took turns giving him CPR.

Rest in peace soldier!

Services January 3, 1983 at Warren Bohlender Funeral, Mr. Harry Matthews giving service, Merrill Womach Soloist, Dean Kincaid Organist.

"God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower strewn pathways all our lives through;
God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
But God hath promised strength for the day,
Rest for the labor, light for the way,
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy - - Undying love."
