Julie Ann (Burrows) Lane of Baxter Springs, Kansas passed from this life on December 13, 2019 at her home, she was 60 years old.

Julie was born on January 26, 1959 in Columbus, Kansas to Floyd and Nellie (Niday) Burrows.

She graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1977. She got her associates degree from Northeast Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma.

Julie was the Director for many years for San Pasqual Academy in San Diego, California. She created Bags of Love in 2008, a charity for kids going into a foster care. Julie enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, gardening, arranging flowers, and fishing with her family. She loved sailing, playing the harmonica, singing, and loved to have fun and laugh. Julie was touched, and talented at anything that required creativity. Julie lived in the area most of her life and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Galena.

Julie is survived by her son Lonnie Bradford and wife Nichole of Springfield, a brother Kip Burrows and wife Amy of Baxter Springs, Kansas and sister Shelly Hartin of Baxter Springs, Kansas. She is also survived by her grandkids Payton Darnell (Bradford), Lindsey Goddard, Jordan Goddard, Alyvia Goddard and two great grandchildren. Julie was very close to all her nieces and nephews. She truly loved her family and her family loved her.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents, a son Craig Bradford, a brother Steve Burrows and a sister Marsha (Burrows) Neely.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Julie’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday December 19, 2019 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel in Baxter Springs, Kansas.

The family has entrusted service to Derfelt Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Derfelt Funeral Home to help with expenses.
