Rosemary Saway passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the age of 96. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton, with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.
Rosemary was a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson and Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton. She was devoted to her family and gave them the utmost care and love with a spirit of self-sacrifice and never-ending generosity. Her prowess as a talented homemaker and cook for her husband and five children earned her high praise and respect from her friends and family. Her talents in the kitchen were recognized by Jackson newspaper articles that touted some of her favorite recipes, which her children still enjoy to this day. After raising her children, Rosemary worked as a secretary at St. Joseph’s Catholic School and as a teller at Deposit Guaranty Bank. Through the years, she earned a reputation as a kind and caring person who was always ready to help her friends and loved ones. She loved to send “care” packages to her distant children and grandchildren on birthdays and holidays. Family get togethers and visits to see her were always a special occasion and reason to enjoy her cooking and companionship. She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their memories of her will always be cherished.
Rosemary is predeceased by her parents, Sam and Francis Giambrone; sisters, Mary Freeman and Nellie Bacot; brother, J. T. Giambrone; husband, Robert M. Saway; and daughter, Judith Anne Saway.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Saway, Robert Saway, Michael Saway, and John Saway, as well as host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rosemary lived a full and productive life and will be missed by her many friends, family, and relatives.
