On December 7th, 1985 Baby Jane Doe was found shortly after birth by a Siberian Husky named Paca. Paca must have heard the baby crying or picked up on her scent, and carried her back home a short distance away. The dog's owners noticed her in Paca's mouth through a sliding glass door.

She was delivered and abandoned in a gravel pit near the intersection of US Route 1 and Pelletier Avenue in Frenchville, Maine. The temperature was around -30 degrees Fahrenheit that night.

Very little of the case is known to the public since this is still an open investigation, and the current location of Baby Jane Doe's remains are unknown to the public.

Update: June 2022

On Tuesday June 14th, 2022 police arrested the baby's biological mother, Lee Ann Daigle of Lowell, Massachusetts on the charge of murder. She was identified through genetic genealogy and DNA. Her own mother selfishly left her to die in the freezing cold, on that night 36 years ago, instead of dropping her off at a safe haven, and giving her a chance to live.

At least now you can truly rest in peace and hopefully there will be justice for you. Hopefully now you can receive a proper burial. Rest in peace, sweet little angel.
