Wanda Lou Lucas was born on October 27, 1934 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and passed away on December 11, 2019 in Del City, Oklahoma.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, Wanda went to be with her heavenly father in Del City, Oklahoma. On October 27, 1934 she was born in the home of her grandparents Sarah Frances and Francis Marion Walker in Wagoner, OK. Wanda grew up in Wagoner and Lawton, OK. In Lawton, she was an Operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone when she met the love of her life, Bobby Lee Lucas, on the strike picket line. They were married for 61 years until Bobby’s death in 2015. They had two children who survive her, Charles Lucas (Kathy) and Marcia Lucas Ellington (Jerry). Wanda was a stay-at-home mother, but was a well-loved community volunteer for many organizations and her Methodist Church. In 1989, she was elected to the office of State President in the Oklahoma Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Int’l Philanthropic Organization. She was a Life Member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation. She was also a Life Member of the United Methodist Women. During her time as a Boy Scout Leader, she earned the James E. West Award for Outstanding Service. Wanda had four grandsons and four great-grandchildren who will miss her greatly.

A service will be held at 3pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City.
