Early Life: Ann was born August 14, 1932, in Higgins, Texas, to Melvin John and Arma Hancock Taylor. She graduated from Provo High School in May of 1951.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Thanks to Ann's brother, Stan Taylor, and her future husband's brother, Tom Moon, for playing matchmaker, Ann and Clarence Irwin Moon fell in love and were sealed on April 22, 1953, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ann Taylor Moon, precious, sweet matriarch, passed away December 9, 2019. She was 87.
Info From Clarence's Obituary: The family cabin is the family's favorite getaway. They enjoyed family vacations all around Utah and from states coast to coast. Their most favorite vacation was the four-year family mission to Brazil, where Clarence was called to build chapels for the first three years and then to oversee the building of chapels throughout South America. Ann and Clarence left with four children and returned with five! Yes, Ann had baby Carol while on their mission.
Survived By: Her children: Catherine Moon Petersen, Ellen Moon Page, and Greg T. Moon. [Clarence's obituary stated that they also had 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many loved nieces and nephews at the time of his death in October 2018]*.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Clarence; son, John Moon; daughter, Carol Moon; her parents and brother, Paul Melvin Taylor.
