MILTON MONROE
(1908-1957)

Services for Milton Monroe, Blanchester Rout 2, who died at Clinton Memorial Hospital at 9 p.m., will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hannah Funeral Home, Blanchester.

Mr. Monroe had resided in the Blanchester community for three years, engaged in farming, and earlier was employed at paper mills in Urbana for several years. The son of Marcus and Mertie Alice Stevenson Monroe, he was born Jan. 17, 1908 at Peebles.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Thursa Green Monroe; nine children, Tressia, Russell, Bill, Jimmy, Kim, Lynn and Morlyn, all at home, Freddie of Sabina and Mrs. Mary Ross of Pleasant Plain; one brother, Oscar Monroe of Peebles Route 3; five sisters, Mrs. Lula Gordley of Norwood, Mrs. Maggie Ewbanks of Marysville, Mrs. Etta Littreal of Urbana, Mrs. Zinna Ross of Sabina and MRs. Lena Carter of Cumberland, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. C.E. Coster will officiate at the services and interment will be at Wamsleyville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
