Florence was a "free spirit" who knew how to have a good time. Among numerous occupations, she worked as a show girl in a dance hall, and for many years as a pocket-maker in the Oneida Knitting Mills. Despite her name at death as "Miss Florence Acker" she had at least 4 brief marriages:

Born July 11, 1901, she was admitted to the hospital on May 7, 1942, from 915 John St., Utica.

She was born in Catskill, a daughter of Frank and Georgianna Acker and was employed for a number of years as a pocket maker in the Golden Kitting Mills.
