Mrs. Janis Bicknell Day, 85, the widow of Robert Moss Day, passed away Monday afternoon, December 9, 2019 at her home. Janis was born in Madison County, Kentucky, on August 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Reed and Klella Kindred Bicknell. She was a homemaker and a member of The Waco Baptist Church. Janis was an artist, and had taught painting classes at Eastern Kentucky University as well as various craft shops. She also had taught private lessons as well.
Survivors include two daughters: Melissa Day and Elizabeth Gray (Christopher); two grandchildren: Blake Bond and Leiara G. Day; one sister: Bessie Reed (Gene); as well as several other relatives. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Danielle Durham and a sister: LaVern Mays.
