Norma Inez Bush, 95, of Excelsior Springs formerly of Lawson, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019, in Excelsior Springs, MO.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 9:30-11 am at Old Union Church, Lawson, MO, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
Norma was born July 24, 1924, in Kansas City, MO. She is the daughter of the Lewis E and the Katie E (Henry) Borgmier. She married James C Bush on June 1, 1944, in Wyandotte County, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C Bush on January 17, 2000.
Norma enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the Old Union Church for nearly 50 years. She was on the board of the Lawson HUD for several years. Norma was a 4-H leader and was the school secretary for Lawson. When not busy with her job, Norma was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening, canning and helping on the farm.
She is survived by one daughter: Becky (John) Crowley of Kansas City, MO; one daughter-in-law: Zina Bush; six grandchildren: Katie Battagler, Lawson, MO, Russell J (Jennifer) Bush of Liberty, MO, Gretchen L (Brad) Edwards of Richmond, MO, Alan Bush of San Antonio, TX, Sara (Daniel) Williams of Brunswick, MD, and Lisa (John) Thayne of Kansas City, MO; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her sons: Jim Bush, and Rick Bush; sister: Nadine Atkins; great-grandson: Wyatt Bush: and brother in infancy, Marvin Borgmier.
